Bob Selan, Chief Executive Officer
Bob is CEO of Master Collective, a management company providing solutions to meet the demand in the fast growing and evolving cannabis industry by delivering state-of-the-art, fully-entitled and locally-licensed facilities for cannabis. Bob is a partner at Selan Law Firm, a boutique law firm that specializes in all areas of cannabis laws, regulations, licensing and corporate compliance in a highly regulated cannabis market, and serves as general counsel to several of California’s top cannabis brands. Bob owned and operated Kush Magazine, which from 2009 to 2012 was the leading print publication on medical cannabis in the United States. Bob also ran KushCon, the largest cannabis lifestyle convention, connecting thousands of cannabis entrepreneurs all over the world. Bob has been a commercial real estate developer and lawyer for 40+ years and specializes in developing real estate throughout the state of California and repositioning it through entitlements for its best use. Bob formed the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) and United Cannabis Business Association (UCBA) and other non-profit cannabis trade associations throughout the state.
Lisa Selan, Chief Compliance Officer
Lisa is a partner in Selan Law Firm and is one of the preeminent regulatory and compliance experts in cannabis laws and regulation in the State of California. Lisa, as Editor in Chief of Kush Magazine, the largest cannabis lifestyle magazine from 2009 -2012 became well versed in the regulatory and business aspects of the cannabis industry. In 2015, Lisa co-founded the United Cannabis Business Association (UCBA) and became general counsel to the largest Southern California cannabis trade association. Working with governmental relations experts, Lisa was instrumental in crafting the State of California Medical and Adult Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act working with state assembly members, senators and other state regulators. Lisa has drafted cannabis ordinances for multiple cities and has advised planning commissions, city council members, city managers and county board of supervisors in crafting laws for local municipalities. Lisa currently advises some of the largest cannabis brands in the state and has been responsible for licensing hundreds of cannabis operations.
